The Developers
Martin Purnell and Associates LLC, is the developer of these homes, built on 4 lots already owned by its principals, Luther and Cheryl Purnell. The belief and conviction by which this company was formed is that historically, homes were built to reflect the time’s needs and materials. In the 1920’s, the stricken economy and a country needing housing and optimism drove construction of the Garlows. The continuation of Mr. Cramer’s idea results in 21st century homes reflecting the more urgent societal needs in the face of climate change and conserving dwindling resources. By using state-of-the-art materials and engineering, these homes are the focus of a vision begun over 20 years ago, and the commitment to success is total.
Martin Purnell and Associates is committed to using a varied representation of vendors, drawn from diverse communities, and the choices reflect a cross-section of population at large. Chicago is a world-class city and its residents bring to this project a wealth of talents, abilities and skills. They represent the best qualified craftspeople most able to apply the learnings involved in quickly using the new materials and technologies.
